As part of this ambitious project, the security infrastructure at 22 locations throughout Switzerland was optimized. Whether at service stations, train stations or airports - homesecurity developed innovative solutions that are perfectly tailored to Autogrill's requirements and meet the highest standards.

Customized security solutions for Autogrill

Through close collaboration and careful analysis of the specific requirements, homesecurity developed a customized security solution for Autogrill Schweiz AG. The process began with a detailed site assessment and led to the development of a comprehensive overall concept that included technical feasibility, legal requirements, business models and data protection requirements. The overall concept also described the possible approach for data evaluation by homesecurity.

A proof of concept (PoC) at a selected location enabled the exemplary implementation and validation of the solution before it was rolled out to all locations.

The solution includes the following components:

• On-premise video systems: Efficient monitoring and analysis in real time for increased security on site.
• Centralized data management: Cross-site management of security data for an optimized overview.
• Precise incident analyses: Detailed evaluation of security-relevant events such as theft or other incidents.
• Video-based alarms: Intelligent detection and rapid response to critical events.

Video-based alerting as an integral part of the solution

A successful example of homesecurity's innovative security solution is the seamless integration of the video-based alarm system, which was added to Autogrill's existing video system. This solution has homogenized two previously separate systems: the intruder alarm system (IAS) has been combined with video surveillance. As a result, a separate system is no longer required for the intruder alarm system and Autogrill will only have one central point of contact for both systems in future.

This technology makes it possible to detect safety-critical events immediately and react to them in real time.

The video system is activated at defined times so that unauthorized movements inside the store are detected during closing times, for example. In such cases, the alarm scenario is triggered: the relevant movement is analyzed and the alarm receiving centre is given access to the relevant images. This access is strictly limited to such scenarios, which guarantees data protection and security in equal measure. The alarm receiving center can then initiate escalation accordingly in order to efficiently mitigate potential dangers.

Video surveillance and alarm functions are combined on a central platform, which significantly simplifies management and increases efficiency. The system has been developed with a particular focus on reliability. Thanks to the combination of several security mechanisms, the system always remains stable even in the event of unexpected disruptions, ensuring a continuously high security performance at all locations.
